Mennonite Church USA
Mennonite Church USA was one of the two new national denominations created out of the merger of two binational (Canada and U.S.) denominations, the General Conference Mennonite Church and the Mennonite Church. The U.S. delegates of the binational denominations voted overwhelmingly on July 5, 2001, at an assembly in Nashville, Tenn., to create Mennonite Church USA. The effective starting date for Mennonite Church USA was Feb. 1, 2002. Membership is approximately 109,000, with headquarters in Elkhart, Ind. and Newton, Kan.
