Policies and procedures for The Mennonite are established by its publisher, The Mennonite Magazine Board, Inc. Current members are:

Three members of the board are appointed by the Executive Committee of Mennonite Church USA, and three members are elected by delegates to the biennial assembly of Mennonite Church USA. The seventh and eighth members are co-opted by the six appointed and elected board members.
