Early Spring along Lake Ontario in Toronto
posted by Tim Nafziger on 03/28/10 at 03:47 PMLast week I was in Toronto for the Christian Peacemaker Teams spring steering committee meetings. The afternoon before things started up, I took a few hours to walk along the shore of Lake Ontario. I knew that the lake shore in Toronto was more industrial, but I also discovered that its a bit more wild as well. Whereas most of Chicago's lake shore is park land, closely tended by an army of landscapers, much of the lake shore I walked along near down town Toronto was dirt trails through underbrush and small trees. And every half a mile a massive, towering smoke stack. It was a journey of contrasts. So, without further ado, here are photos from my walk from Ashbridges Bay Park to Cherry Beach and then back to Parliament Street (see my route here). There are a few bonus photos at the beginnign and end:
While you're having a look, check out the black and white versions and let me know whether you like the b&w or color versions better.
