by MCC Central StatesPrint Article Email to a Friend
Cookie and Dave Wiebe left Memorial Day to ride their tandem bike 2,007 miles from their home in Newton, Kan., to the Mennonite Church USA biennial convention, held July 2-6 in San José, Calif. Their goal is to raise $10,000, enough to provide bicycles for 126 health workers in Zambia, Uganda and Kenya through Mennonite Central Committee’s Generations at Risk program. They will post their adventures at www.charitableliving.net.
