A fun break in Burkina Faso
by Mennonite Central CommitteePrint Article Email to a Friend
Sékou Gansonré (on right) and Solomon Ouedraogo take part in a relay race in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, a break from the poverty and harsh realities of living in families affected by HIV or AIDS. Each month, as adults with AIDS or HIV meet in a church for a time of worship, testimony, prayer and mutual support, children sing and have fun, part of an effort supported by Mennonite Central Committee’s Global Family program. The project, carried out with the AIDS Action Committee of the Assemblies of God church, began in March.
