Stuckey was a pastor’s pastor
by Lynn Cowboy Short, Archbold, OhioRe “Anne Stuckey, Pastor and Writer, Dies at 54” (News Digest, June 19): What do Anne Stuckey and Will Rogers have in common? Probably nothing, but after Anne’s tragic accident, I thought of a quote about Will Rogers. People said he was a cowboy’s cowboy, which meant that other men looked up to him for what he could do and say. Anne Stuckey was a pastor’s pastor. Other pastors looked to her for leadership and guidance. She was mentor to a lot of people. She could do all this and then she could minister to someone like me—just a common puncher. It was a real privilege to have her for a friend.
