We have the best missional resources
by John Willems, Albany, Ore.
I am a retired Mennonite pastor and supportive of our emphasis on being a missional church. I serve with Oregon Mennonite Residential Services (under Mennonite Central Committee West Coast) that provides homes for people with developmental disabilities. My role is to contact pastors to match churches with our homes for volunteers to relate to our residents.
I met a Covenant pastor serving in a Presbyterian church. He learned about Mennonites while a student at George Fox University, a Friends school in Oregon. He said, “Mennonites have the best missional resources on the market.”
While early on we struggled with defining the word, here is a person who affirmed us and our great resources warmly. Let us take heart and be affirmed.
