Fuerza, a 30-minute documentary by four Goshen (Ind.) College students, was shown at San José 2007. The film shows the connection between Apan, Hidalgo, Mexico and Goshen.
As many as half the people in Apan go to Goshen for work, then send money back to their families. The students interview Goshen civic leaders and people in Apan.
One spokesman in the film says it’s a complex issue, but the film doesn’t present much complexity, due in part to its length.
