MT. GRETNA, Pa.—LaVern Yutzy, chief executive officer of Philhaven, a behavioral health-care organization, announced his resignation from his position effective in June 2008.
During Yutzy’s tenure as CEO, he has assembled a strong leadership team to help expand the organization in order to carry out its mission.
Under his guidance, Philhaven has grown to a full continuum of 65 behavioral health programs serving over 20,000 people annually in south central Pennsylvania, including many community-based and outpatient services.
In Yutzy’s 16 years as Philhaven’s CEO, the organization’s budget has grown from $18 million to more than $50 million.
Robert Hamilton, board president, said the board plans a search process that will consider both internal and external candidates.
