Swartz of Ted & Lee performs with an assembled cast

In the Ted & Lee play “Fish-Eyes,” Andrew (Jason Hildebrand, left) and Peter (Ted Swartz) depict the Last Supper. A live videotaping of “Fish-Eyes” and “Creation Chronicles” took place at the Eastern Mennonite School, Harrisonburg, Va., auditorium on Sept. 18, 20 and 21.
Ted Swartz assembled a cast of seasoned actors to play roles he had created with Lee Eshleman during their 20-year partnership as Ted & Lee TheaterWorks. Eshleman died in May.
The programs were videotaped for a 32-week video curriculum being prepared by Abingdon Press (United Methodist).
Each week of the curriculum will cover a Scripture segment that will be illustrated by one of the Ted & Lee-created scenes (plus new scenes to be written by Ted and taped in November). Ted will continue to create and perform new dramas with other actors. See www.tedandlee.com for more information.—Sheri Hartzler
