Group meets to reduce handgun violence

AKRON, Pa.—Thirty-eight people from more than 15 congregations attended the annual Mennonite Central Committee East Coast peace building seminar at Philadelphia Mennonite High School Oct. 6.

The day included prayer, education and action for reducing handgun violence. The event also built connections among peace advocates and congregations in Philadelphia; New York City; Lancaster, Pa.; and Reading, Pa.; that are seeking to reduce handgun violence in their communities.—MCC
