MDS considers response to California wildfires

AKRON, Pa.—Mennonite Disaster Service plans to send a team to the site of recent wildfires in Southern California to determine how MDS might respond.
MDS staff member Andi Dube said Oct. 25 the team would go to California in the next few days to make initial contacts and investigate opportunities for MDS to help. “We’ll be able to tell at that point what our response will be,” he said.
Dube said it did not appear any Mennonite congregations or their members in the region had been directly affected by the fires.—Mennonite Weekly Review
