Mennos in the News: Top Cincinnati lawyer to take on national role in Mennonite Church

Ed Diller will be taking over national leadership of the Mennonite Church USA next month, but first he had to overcome reservations among some members.
In a religious organization best known for peacemaking and quiet service, "attorneys are suspect because they’re too aggressive, too focused on winning," said Diller (pictured).
Diller, partner-in-charge of the Cincinnati office of Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP, was elected moderator-elect of the church in 2007. He moves up to become moderator following its national assembly in Columbus this month, a post he will hold for two years ...
