Supports PinkMenno campaign

I have heard there are qualms regarding the overwhelming interest in the PinkMenno campaign at Mennonite Church USA Convention 2009. Though I did not have the opportunity to attend convention, I have heard positive reports of the convention as a whole and of the PinkMenno campaign in particular. This is an issue that needs our attention, and the enthusiasm of the youth indicates there is a lot of interest. The goal of the campaign at convention was to reopen healthy, affirming dialogue that respects many points of view.

I understand there are many in the denomination who do not agree with the stance of the campaign. But since they are not using aggressive or inappropriate actions but are simply interested in sharing in conversation, I urge all to support or at least allow the efforts of the campaign.
