During the all-boards meeting in Kansas City, Mo., Sept. 24-26, the Mennonite Mission Network board and Mennonite Church USA Executive Board reaffirmed the “Joining Together, Investing in Hope” campaign led by the Mission Network on behalf of Mennonite Church USA.

The campaign will provide $6 million for a new office building adjacent to the Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary campus in Elkhart, Ind., and provide $1.85 million in program ministry support to Mission Network, the Executive Board and Global Mission Fellowship.

According to Peter Graber, campaign director, $2.2 million is still needed before the groundbreaking for the new building, scheduled for June 2010. Completion of the project is expected by December 2011.

Graber reported that Mennonite Education Agency, which currently has its offices at Clinton Frame Mennonite Church east of Goshen, Ind., has joined the campaign and will move its offices to the building in Elkhart.

In 2007 and 2008, 300 donors gave $2.6 million in cash to the campaign, says Graber.  From these contributions, the Mission Network annual fund received a net benefit of $400,000, Executive Leadership $200,000 and Global Mission Fellowship $100,000.
