Two-hundred attend Rosa's memorial service

More than 200 persons gathered for a memorial service for church leader Joe Rosa on April 17 at Revival Tabernacle Church, Watsontown, Pa. Rosa's body was found on April 1 and police say his death was a result of suicide.
Rosa, who was pastor of Congregacion Menonita Shalom, New Columbia, Pa., left his home last May, and police searches failed to locate him. Last June, police charged him with indecent assault, alleging he molested boys between 2005 and 2009.

Pastors and other church leaders from Lancaster (Pa.) Mennonite Conference, Spanish Mennonite Council and the Milton Area Ministerium gather around Maggie, Joe Rosa's wife, and children Amy and Joey Rosa for a time of prayer and encouragement at the conclusion of the memorial service remembering the life and ministry of Rosa. David Martino, pastor of Milton (Pa.) Mennonite Church described the service as a "multi-cultural and ethnic event." The service included video of Rosa's life, worship and a message from Martino.
