Phoenix decision
by Samuel Lopez, New Holland, Pa.I am very disappointed with the Executive Board's decision to hold Convention 2013 in Phoenix (page 37). As a Hispanic Mennonite (and immigrant), I feel sad because of the lack of solidarity and understanding from our Mennonite Church USA leadership. This is a sad moment, and I feel we are leaving out a small but important part of Christ's body.

Will you attend the "separate but equal" conference they're setting up, or simply sit out 2013 altogether? I'm torn between attending the "satellite" event in solidarity with Hispanics or refusing to participate in what seems like it could be a second-class event.
